Hiii!
Half the year is almost gone and how?? But the best thing about start of a new month means – monthly favorites. I love compiling them. It’s so hot that this time I don’t have a lot of make-up products, but have focused on skincare.

Diving straight into my list of May favorites.
1. NYX Intense Butter Gloss
As much as I love matte red lipstick, in summers I sometimes steer away from it. Over the past two months I’ve been crushing on NYX Intense Butter Gloss. I have (actually I was gifted) the shade – Tres Leches (IBLG 11). It is a pastel pink color.

It is the perfect gloss with just the right amount of color. Even though this is a light shade, it isn’t patchy and spreads evenly, has a thick texture (doesn’t stick which is a great plus). You can wear it on its own as a tint, or top it on a lipstick. Goes very well with Mac Please Me lipstick.

2. The Body Shop Rice Chinese Ginseng & Rice Mask
Summers are so harsh on the skin making it dull and lifeless. The Chinese Ginseng & Rice is a clarifying polishing mask. On days when you want to give your skin the much needed brightness, this mask works best.

It has a creamy texture with rice grains, great for gentle exfoliation. Ginseng revitalizes, rice extracts softens and illuminates the skin and essential oils make your skin supple and soft. You can use it twice a week, but make sure to do a patch test.

3. Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Powder Foundation
If you’re someone who doesn’t like to put layers of make-up and are good with just a sheer coverage, then this is what you need. Lakme 9 to 5 powder foundation is a great drugstore product for everyday use.

Source – be beautilicious
Since it has primer, you don’t need two separate products. The powder is finely milled, and you can almost feel the silicone like primer texture. Use it with the sponge that it comes with for best coverage.

Comes in a pretty rose gold packaging, gives sheer to medium coverage (you can build it up), gives a shine-free matte look, blends easily, doesn’t look patchy, and is perfect for touch ups on the go. I’m in the shade – Natural Light.
Price – 550/- for 9g
4. Forest Essentials Lip Scrub
Matte lipsticks are pure love! But you have to pay a price for love, and here it is dry flaky lips. Using a lip scrub will change your lipstick game. The Cane Sugar lip scrub by Forest Essentials is delicious and does the job perfectly. It is made up of all natural ingredients, is gentle on your lips, and makes them super soft.

Needless to say, it smells divine and gives a feel good vibe! It is slightly expensive, but then brand loyalty. (Forest Essentials isn’t sponsoring this, the products are great quality and deserve all the love)
Price – 500/- for 5g
5. Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water
Talked about getting dolled up, now it’s time to clean up. Micellar waters are a rage in the beauty world these days. Off late I’ve loved the Garnier Oil Infused version. It takes off all the make-up in one swipe.

Have used the Maybelline Micellar Water in past, and this one is a lot better. Doesn’t sting while taking off eye makeup, it’s quite light and does not leave an oily residue. For this price and quality, it a good budget friendly option.
There is another version (non-oil one) also available, so if you have oily or acne prone skin, you can try that.
Price – 225/- for 125ml
