All you need is love and a cup of coffee!

I am more of a chai person, but there are phases in life when I have strong coffee cravings. These are some of my favorite places to enjoy a great cup of coffee.
1. Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters
Location: Saidulajab, Saket

Tucked in the bylanes of Saidulajab, this quaint café is the perfect place to find solitude amidst the concrete world. Add to it the strong and delicious coffee that they serve. Choose from a range of hot brews or cold brews and spend hours fuelling thoughts of your heart with coffee elixir.

2. Ama Café
Location: Majnu ka Tila

Little Tibet of Delhi – Majnu ka Tila is my escape whenever I get sick of the city life. This dainty Tibetan refugee colony will surely remind you of McLeodganj, only the pristine mountains are missing.

Ama Café is the perfect hangout place. You can spend hours here – chit chatting, reading alone, or even working on a whimsy post. The cappuccino is amazing. But I have to say the ginger lemon honey tea is heartwarming. They have a wide selection of yummy desserts as well, I recommend Tiramisu.

3. Theos
Location: Multiple Locations

Theos is my new found love and this love affair is going to last long. Although Theos is known for its desserts, but their coffee is equally good. You can customize it as per your liking – strong or mild. Enjoy it with a croissant, chocolate éclair, or chicken puff!
The only thing I don’t like, the way their delicacies almost cast a spell on you and it is difficult to choose just one.

4. Ivy & Bean
Location: Shahpur Jat

Shahpur Jat is a gem waiting to be explored. Ivy & Bean is one such beautiful book café! I love the feel of the place. The little outdoor seating makes it all the more beautiful. I had Mocha Hazelnut and it was so satisfying. My friends had Mocha, and Cappuccino, and we all loved our coffee doze.

My other recommendations are – Beer battered prawns, Bacon pancakes, Shepherd’s Pie, and Salted caramel tart. Don’t forget to click a picture with the gigantic bookshelf.

5. Cha Bar
Location: N Block, Connaught Place

It is a book café, but sadly you’ll not be able to read. It is so noisy and full that you can never concentrate on reading. It is a good place to catch up with friends and enjoy a gossip session.

Cha Bar knows their tea and coffee right. Cold coffee is super, affogato is great, masala chai is mazedar, and Rose Oolong is so comforting. There are a lot of munchies as well.

6. Perch
Location: Khan Market

Have a big smile while I write this! Coffee and Wine, Perch makes life prettier and certainly tastier. The coffee sangria is next level! And a special mention for the outstanding cappuccino. Probably the best I’ve tasted in Delhi.

There is a lot to devour as well! And it is so Instagram worthy which is always a plus…

7. Kunafa
Location: Meherchand Market

So if you like me have always dreamt of Turkey and haven’t been there yet, Kunafa is the place to get the taste of Turkish delicacies. You get amazzzing (still drooling over it) Baklava, Turkish coffee, and various teas. The Turkish coffee has a distinct woody taste, worth a try.

It’s a great experience to try something new! Certainly revisiting it soon.

8. Espress-o-Ville
Location: Satyaniketan (South Campus)

Looking for a cute coffee date place? Espress-o-ville doesn’t disappoint. The coffee is great, hot chocolate is yummier! Also there is pizza, books, and lots of board games, and the best part – the bill won’t make you bankrupt.

I cannot guarantee if you’ll win in scrabble or not, but when you take your special someone for a date, you’ll surely win their heart and some brownie points.

9. Kunzum Travel Café
Location: Hauz Khas Village

On an overcast day when the wanderlust feels strike hard, head to Kunzum Travel Café to satiate those feelings. Walls adorned by beautiful pictures each telling a new travel tale, simple yet delicious tea and coffee (and not to forget the heavenly chocolate cookies), and the vibe – a perfect place to just sit and maybe do nothing.

Kunzum is a pay what you like café. There are no fixed prices so you pay as per your wish, which is quite a unique concept. You can also be a part of the variety of workshops that the café regularly conducts.
10. Sakley’s Mountain Café
Location: M Block Market, GK I

If you’re missing mountains in Delhi, Sakley’s is the place to be. It is ideal for a lunch date (that’s what I went for) or even a cozy dinner scene. Stuff yourself, but make sure you leave a little space in your tummy for their delicious coffee.

My heart goes out to the Wolf Chicken Sizzler and Caramel Coffee. OMG So good! And now that I am writing about them, I think it is time to go back soon. (Mumma, if you’re reading this you know where are we going next)

11. Café Turtle
Location: Multiple Locations

A book store, delectable coffee, yummy goat cheese pizza, picture perfect setting of Khan Market (that’s where I’ve been the most), what’s not to love about Café Turtle. Although it is a vegetarian café, you’ll not miss the meat here.

Pick up a new book from the bookstore, or just enjoy your current read with their signature cappuccino. And trust me when I say this, you’ll not even realize when minutes turn into hours at Café Turtle.
